Data set has been visually inspected. All data produced strives to meet National Mapping Accuracy Standards (NMAS)
Data has been produced using existing Napa county tax assesor parcel layer, thus is as accurate as original Napa county parcel layer.
This layer was derived from the Napa county tax assessor parcels layer, the Land Trust of Napa County and Green Info Networks layer of open space. An inventory of all land in Napa County available to the public for recreation was derived from the open space layer. This was than used to select out the corresponding parcels from the Napa County parcel layer. The Land Trust map was used to select out parcels from Napa County that coinsided with what the Land Trust was showing on their map. Some areas were updated to reflect the actual parcel area. Federal, State and local parcels were also selected from the parcel layer to complete the layer.

Lena Septimo from Napa Land Trust sent me a list of updated protected lands information from 2006 to present. Updated the layer based off of her list as well as the most current Land Trust "Protected Lands of Napa County" map.
